MCS invites you for the launch of our new automated over-the-phone interpretation service system. The Ceremony will be held on March 15, 2012 at 10:30am to 1:00 PM at the Silver Spring Civic Building. (Direction)

In the last decade, there has been a steady increase in the population of individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) in the United States. While this diversity is at the heart of our greatness, it creates a challenge for government and private service providers for LEP individuals. Recognizing this challenge, the Federal government enacted Executive Order 13166 in 2000, mandating that all federal, state and local government agencies accommodate the language needs of their LEP clients. Several states have followed suit in passing and implementing language access laws to varying degrees since then, however, the urgency to fulfill the language needs of LEP individuals is growing at a much faster pace.

Join our discussion with leading industry experts on the issue of language access to LEP individuals, the challenges of service delivery and the opportunities that exist through partnerships with language service providers like MCS. We look forward to seeing and meeting you. In order that we may plan for snacks and refreshments appropriately, we ask that you RSVP no later than Tuesday, March 13, 2012 by emailing aiyasu@adulis.net.

We look forward to seeing you.
